What is Rip Rap? Whether you spell it Rip Rap, Rip-Rap, or Riprap, it is by far the most effective and economical way to protect your shoreline or seawall. Rip Rap is comprised of natural stones, ideally 12" to 18" in diameter. It's been in use by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to control ersosion on rivers for many years. When used on a lakeshore environment, the varied surfaces of the stones cause the kinetic energy of the moving water to become "confused." The movement of the water is harmlessly dissipated between the stones, and your property stays put.

If you have an unprotected seawall, like the one pictured above, wave action will eat away the material under it, causing it eventually to collapse under its own weight. Natural shoreline, below, is simply washed away and your valuable property is gone!

We have years of experience in the proper application of Rip Rap. It forms a natural stone barrier, it stays put, and we guarantee it. Call us or email today to find out how we can stop the loss of your land to wind and boat-generated waves!
